Journal Entry: Tue Aug 26, 2008, 7:12 PM
Happy birthday to me. :D

I spent the night before with my friends, at a random movie night. We watched movies, walked around, a lot.

My mother got me lotion, body spray and a certificate to Coldstone. :D

It's not over yet!

Art Indentity Crisis

Journal Entry: Thu Jul 31, 2008, 5:48 PM
I'm sorry, but I'm going to bitch and moan again.

Apparently it seems as though I'm having a crisis with my own work, characters, and their stories.

I'm not satisfied with it, at all. I hear from many people that I have the anime-aspect in my work. Yes, I was inspired by anime to draw people in the first place, and that was the foundation of my art. Well, not entirely, but that's another story.

My work reflects who I am, and right now I'm going through a change, as to my likings. You know how you go through phases, and your art changes with? Well, my dream to do comic-book illustrating has came back. I've had the desire to become an illustrator for the longest time, but my 'dream' always changes. But now I know that I really want to do illustrating/writing/inking/colouring for a living, but baby-steps at a time. So, in order for me to get there, I gotta be confident in my work. Currently, I am not. I'm stuck, and figuring out what and where exactly am I going with this.

Been doing some thinking, and I'm allowing a friend re-design one of my characters. Maning the poor guy up, to what he's supposed to look like. All I hope is that he still has his facial stubbery.

You know.. I would hold a contest for people to re-create my characters, but then it'd not be my work, in the end. It'd be someone's else creation, using my characters as a base. So I'm not going to do that. so.. I'm going to take some suggestions on some characters. I might keep one as he is, and just change the rest.

Anyway, that's all I had to say.. Sorry for the consistent bitching. I really needed to get this out.

Awesomeness

Journal Entry: Wed Jul 30, 2008, 12:18 AM
Okay, I think it's time for me to write a journal, of what's going on in my life, currently.

I haven't been in the mood to write any in the past month, or two; because I had no interest in it all. But since there's things going on, that 're worth talking about, I think it's time to do a journal, now.

I'll start from last week. It all began when my parents went off to Montana and had their jolly ol'e vacation. I was invited, but I had things planned weeks before they invited me. So for a while I've been thinking about it, until I got word when exactly my friend and I are going to pick up our long-time-friend. So, the first couple of days were isolating, but it ended up to be a nice couple of days of nostalgia. I didn't watch much television, and all I did was took care of the animals, cleaned up the kitchen and fed myself when I felt the need to eat something. It was relaxing.

Around Wednesday I got a ride down towards a friends house, and hung with them. It was nice to hang out with them, sense I hardly ever get to talk to them and we always run into eachother. So, yeah. I got to see their current place, and their two adorable kitties. Then later that night I was taken to my other friends house and spent the night there. We then headed off to Roseburge (The land of nothingness) and got her, drove back. Whilst driving back we dropped by a small rest stop and they had deli food. The food was delicious as hell. Though, my chicken was somewhat dry, but it was still good none the less. Anyway, as we were in the store getting our food, and acting like we didn't know what the fuck was going on.. we sent our friend (the one we picked up) to go get us some drinks, as she was walking off, my male friend and I were like "WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" and she's like stuck in one spot, not knowing what to do,like a tug of war pretty much. That was amusing. We figured that all out. As we were grabbing our candy, we ran into an acquaintance of ours, from high school. We talked for a little bit and left. We got our things, paid for it, and left. Sat in the parkinglot, eating the food, and right as we were all done our friend needed to go to the bathroom. She runs back inside throwing the trash away and heads to the toilet. We sit for a few minutes, then I playfully say "Let's drive off without her.. That'd be so mean.." so my male friend just chuckles and says, "No, we'll just park in a different stop." Pretty much what he said. So we pull out of our current parking spot and move on the other side of the building; it's a small rest stop, so you can't get lost. Our friend comes out and she looks around, so as we're in the car, laughing our asses off and not only that I get the feel of guilt and pity, so I call out for her. She runs to the car and calls us "Cock bites". It was funny. So we left and got home.

Later that night we were dropped off at my house and hung out for a couple of days here. Though, I don't remember big details, but I do remember the random hilarious moments we had during the time. Most the days we'd wake-up, and I'd brew some coffee, because it's what I do along with cooking up some breakfast. I don't mind being a host to good friends. We'd just sit around, talk for a while and go on the computer, or just take a walk around the block or to the country store. The first day (pretty much the next day) my friend and I would walk to the country store. It was 2-3 miles from my place. Not a bad walk. The main reason we walked to the place was for me to get what I needed, personal needs and shit. So, as we were leaving the house I was smart enough to wear my sister's boots, she got from Europe, and not wear thick enough socks to avoid getting blisters, like last time. I didn't learn from my last mistake, but whatever. These fuckers are heavy and the inside, where the heel part was located had little flap-like area of leather. Rubbing up against my heel, leaving me blisters. Whilst we're half way to the store I get fed up biting my tongue and I just say "Okay, enough.. I'll take your shoes now". So, we trade shoes and walk the rest the way there.

We make it to the store and grab what we needed. My friend runs into her ol'e friend from school, they talk for a bit, and we leave the store. Sitting outside, enjoying the weather and drinking-eating our food. I think we stayed there for a couple of hours. Then, later on after the bird talking, and ignoring the dumb children we called our friend Skyler. She was in town and in the area, which was awesome. So we call her, she comes by 30 minutes later and we go with her, on what she needs to do. A few minutes after that was done we went to a sword shop. I was in awe, of seeing Rambo's blade. Also got to see some prints of Bleu Turrell's work, a couple years before I got to see the original-original pieces of the said prints. They were larger, and much more beautiful. Then we leave the shop, after spending at least 40 minutes in there. Heading back home and spent the rest of the night doing nothing but talking and playing games on Gaia: The Rejected Olympics. I think this happened in the same night, but we were hungry and didn't know what to eat. Well, I was hungry and she wasn't really. So we grab some Dumplings and boil them. As we were eating them one of my dumplings falls in the sink, on the island of my kitchen, and so I tried to pick it up with my chop-sticks and it didn't work! So, I had a battle with it, until I got it.. A few seconds later it falls into the pot that I boiled it in.. I had another battle with this little bastard, kept slipping away! So, I finally give-up and--what my friend says "Man-handle" it.. My friend starts laughing! it was funny, yes, but not that funny! Then I rinse it off and squeeze water out from it and pop it into my mouth.. whilst doing that she's almost on the floor! Clutching at my arm, laughing so fucking hard, I couldn't comprehend what she was saying!

The next day her and I wait until 5 or so, to hang out with my sister. The real plan was for her to spend time with her brother and I to spend time with my sister.. .But that didn't really work out too well. BUT! something went through. We waited, and went out to eat with my sister. She wanted to be with her boyfriend before he went off to work, so that's what kind of got our plans out of the loop--whatever. Shit happens and I'd rather for people to be happy, I'm sure my friend will see her brother(s) before we take her back home. We're not worried (too much) about that. At least we had some fun! We get our food, delicious food. Some minor problems were going on during the time, and we got a discount--or so off of my sister's food. I don't really want to go into detail about that, right now. But it was awesome none-the-less. Whilst leaving the restaurant my sister drags my friend and I to the piercing shop! She was saving it for my birthday, but then she wanted for me to get it over with and have my new barbell by my birthday (Pretty much). My sister, friend, and I make it to the shop and guess what I got pierced?! My tongue! I finally get the piercing I've been wanting for a few years! It's been 3-4 days since I got it done.. So I can eat semi-normal with this massive piece of metal in my mouth.

After that we wait until 5 pm, once again to hang out with our other friends that we have not seen in forever. My tongue was swollen, and I had a difficult time eating solid food, but I managed.. Only ate half the meal. For a while, we all talked, and just left the house to the local playground and went on all the slides and shit. It was very amusing! so, after that I suggested we go to the 7/11 to get slurpee's because I wanted something cold on my tongue. We go there, did what we did. I was tempted to get those toquitos, with the Jalapeno-creamcheese. but it'd not feel too good on my already-healing tongue, so I just said no to myself. Paying for our shit, I had a 'tard moment. Not knowing how to use the damn machine! the Card shit. But I managed and I got dropped off at my house.

The next day my friend Ryan calls (Same guy that dragged me along to pick up our friend in Roseburg) calls my cell! BUT!! He calls when I'm in the bathroom., rushing towards it, I call him back.. We talk for a bit and I go take my shower. He calls again, but this time it's right when I get out of the shower.. BAD TIMING THAT TIME! But anyway, we go out to lunch and I have Miso soup, as everyone else has solid food. A bit jealous, but I tried to steal some rice. It felt strange, but it was delicious none the less. After Lunch/breakfast all our friends (We had around 5-6 people with us) head to the movie theater (minus 1 person). Two friends and I weren't too interested in seeing "Step Brothers" but three of our other friends were.. So we wasted money in seeing something we had no interest in, but whatever. There were some funny parts in it, that's about it. After that we just hung around Ryan's place, watching "Death at a Funeral" Hilarious, and better then the other film we watched the same day. After Ryan goes to bed, we (Ben, and Vivi<- the one we picked up in roseburg, and the one who lives across the street from Ryan) weren't tired, so we headed downstairs and hung around the ' jew'; Ryan's friend-roommate who lives downstairs with another friend. The three of us decided to play Halo3, and death match against eachother. Though, I didn't join in, until later in the game. So, I join, and we kill eachother, having a jolly-ol'e time. Until we enter the map where you get to edit things. Man, that was hilarious! We just do the classic plant a vehicle and goof around on', and I start planting the vehicles on top of the highest parts of the level, where it's impossible to get up, unless you're in the 'bubble mode', but besides that, you cannot get up there. Hilarious! But, then I found the teleporters.. Man, things got even better. I start planting teleporters all over the place and it was a big mess. Then, I placed two teleporters on small structures that you cannot get up, another impossible area. So, as I'm doing that I find a 'grav-lift', and plant them in the same structures where the teleporters are at, but different locations. I placed two on the little 'arches'. One on each side.. Then I placed a teleporter on the grav-lift. It's just sitting there bouncing up and down! then on the other one I put a large vehicle on it. It's just staying in one place bouncing up and down! Freakin' hilarious! But then, the night ended, after that.

So, the next day comes around. We hang out around the house and we go bike riding to our other friends house. Hanging out with him for a bit, at his place and we all go walk to Safeway, which was a 1-2 miles from his house. We get drinks, and sit there for a bit. Then we leave to go back to his house and pick-up the bikes and hike them back to Ryan's house(also Bens, sense they're his bikes). Leaving the house and heading back to the theaters to see Hellboy2. I just got back from it an hour or two ago. Great movie! I liked it! But that's all that has happened in the last couple of days.

OH!! Wait, I forgot minor details.. ViVi and I were watching kitty videos on Youtube, and she's baby talking the screen, with her hands close to the screen. Whilst she's doing that the kitty, in the video was wrapped up in a newspaper-cone, and he's just sitting there. As she has her hand up, the kitty meows, she pulls her hand back, and I'm just laughing like an idiot! She starts laughing, as well.

Another moment is when I was playing Tomb Raider 4 (Which I just recently beat!) she'd look up at the wrong moments and see me blow-up animals, and or I'd be falling from some high ledges, with horrible timing, killing Lara.. It was epicly hilarious!

Like said, that's all for now. I've had a busy week, and a half.

P.S: About my art, I'm still on an art-block, but I'll try to kill it off. I dislike it and I want to draw again, without a problem.

P.S.S: I ALSO FORGOT! ViVi and I made two awesome-amazing pictures! We took Keanu Reeve's head and plastered it on Robo-Cop's body, and wrote "LAG" Right next to his head.

We also made a picture of RDJ with a Mudkip in his mouth, and the dialog saying "I herd u liek mudkipz". To support the 4chan saying, which is funny. Here's the link to both pictures, if you would like to see.. -> [link] | [link]

Yet, another movie review(s)

Movie Reviews Part 2

Dark Knight - 12:15, Theater 10. The place was packed, 9 theaters were just for D.K. Almost all my friends went to separate theaters, due to us getting it at the wrong time and theater, I ended up seeing it by myself, in the very front, but I was by awesome metal heads. Well worth it!

Dark Knight is (Right next to Ironman on my list) was the best movie of the year. Both Ironman and Dark Knight were fantastic in their own unique ways. Heath Ledger is the Joker. His joker is one sexy bitch. I love how chaotic he is, and the jokes! Fucking hell. I'm not going to spoil anything. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Seriously. It's a MUST SEE! Fucking Orgasmic film. I'm hoping to see it again. :D

Get Smart - A lot better then I thought. Steve Correll is hilarious. I love his humor, the straight-face-not-so-serious-attitude I guess you can say. Just something about the straight face, and the sarcastic remarks, along with random dorky moments just crack me up. I loved it. So worth seeing in theaters--well, from what I thought. My friends and I were wanting to kill some time, before we went to our friends house, so we went and saw the film. Wasn't really interested in seeing "Love Guru".. Yes, Mike is a funny actor, but I think his golden films are Shrek (1-2), Waynes World, and Austin Powers.

Hancock - The film started out very amusing. I thought it'd be a fun, hilarious, sarcastic super-hero film. Though, there was a twist. A twist that made the movie seem like I was watching something else, other then Hancock. But as the movie went further into the story, it all began to make sense. Everything, especially why he is who he is. I liked how they talked about the character, and his powers, and his breed of super-human. Though, the love story, was a bit cliche.

Like other people has said, it's a film based off of the super-hero genre, and what-not. So there's bound to be many cliche's made-fun of, also exaggerated.

My rating on it, from 1-10 (10 being the best) is a solid 7. Character Design for Hancock was awesome, Will Smith is a fantastic actor. The twist, and the love story just ruined it for me.

I will not go into detail, since no one has seen the film, just yet.

Kickass day! + another movie review

Journal Entry: Wed Jun 25, 2008, 6:02 PM
I haven't had so much fun, with my father, in a while. Today we went shooting with a couple of his clients, and they have themselves some sub-machine guns, fully automatics. They're licensed and what-not. So we go shooting, bringing along an AR15, just so we can shoot that, since it's been a while since it has been used last.

As we go there, we're waiting for a moment, trying to see if we beat the guys there, or not.. Then we hear a classic (I think) an A5, a design from WWII. So, we go down to the pit and meet the guys, talk for a bit. They're gun instructors, and one does those shooting competitions. Very experienced men, and very nice. They allowed me to shoot a Pistol, with a silencer on it--They had two Submachine guns, one an Uzi, and the other (I forget) was either another type of Uzi, or something else. Forgive me, I don't remember. But I was allowed to shoot them, and the Uzi didn't have very much of a kick, after all. After shooting that, I was just shaking, with excitement, and surprise.

So, we shoot their guns, for about 2-3 hours. Talking, and enjoying it. My father was having a great time, as well as myself. I'm so glad that I asked to go with my father, because if I didn't go, I'd never really know what it's like to use an Uzi, or just a submachine gun, all together.

I got a sunburn, and a small finger wound, but that's nothing. I had an awesome day, I'm so glad I got to experience it. I just thought I should share this with you guys, since my last blog was nothing but an anger burst.
